| 日喀则地处青藏高原，下辖的定结、吉隆等县自然环境优越，水域和空气污染指数全国最低，为开展核桃的绿色生态栽培提供了前提条件。金薄香1号核桃由山西省农科院果树研究所选育而成，2010年引入定结县，通过连续观察生长势良好。为便于基层人员掌握核桃树的生产、管理技术，并充分发挥自然优势形成特色产业，增加藏区农牧民收入，特结合栽植地的气候特点整理了该栽培技术。 |

| Tibet is an original birthplace of walnut. Shigatse district in Tibet is close to the south of Himalayas, where wild walnuts and cultivated walnuts distribute widely. Most of the cultivated walnuts are local varieties. Yet because of high ages, their economic benefit is not obvious, which shows great potential of introduction from other districts. In recent years, the Science and Technology Bureau in Shigatse has extended walnut as the main cultivated tree species in the whole district, and introduced several walnut cultivars from Shanxi Pomology Institute. The paper aims to provide technical guidance of walnut production and management for local growers, based on local climatic features. |
