Citrus fruits are rich in phenolic compounds, including flavonoids and phenolic acids, which mainly flavonoids. In this paper, the types, content, distribution, dynamic changes of phenolics in citrus fruits as well as their bioactivities are reviewed with the objective of providing better understanding of current research on the health-promoting properties of citrus fruits, in an attempt to provide information for scientific use of citrus fruits. |
